Spouting that goes on the same week as your roof

A new roof draining into thirty-year-old spouting is new tyres on bent rims. We run continuous spouting at your place, cut each length to the millimetre, and hang it the same week as your roof, so one company owns the whole water path and one guarantee covers it.

Fewer joins, proper fall

Why continuous, and why fall matters

Off-the-shelf spouting comes in short lengths joined with brackets and glue, and every join is a future drip down the fascia. Ours is run from a single coil on-site, so the only joins are at corners.

The bit that actually keeps water off your foundations is fall: spouting has to run downhill to the downpipe, checked with a level, not eyeballed from the ladder. Flat spouting holds a puddle, the puddle grows moss, the moss holds the puddle, and five years later the fascia’s rotten. We see it weekly, usually behind someone else’s brackets.

On the quote

What’s included

  • Continuous spouting in COLORSTEEL or coloured aluminium, 25+ colours, matched to your roof and fascia. Marine-grade options for the salt spray suburbs, because standard steel spouting at Sumner has a short, rusty life.
  • Internal brackets screwed to the fascia at close centres, upgraded closer still in the snow-risk hill suburbs. No spikes that work loose after a few frosts.
  • Downpipes placed where the water should go, not just where the old ones were, with the discharge sorted properly. In most of Christchurch that means connecting to your stormwater system, not a splash block pointing at the foundations.
  • Fall checked with a level along every run.
  • 5-year workmanship guarantee, plus the manufacturer’s warranty on the product itself.

A straight answer

Leaf guard: worth it or not?

We install it and it’s good at what it does: keeping needles and leaves out, which matters a lot if you’re under pines or gums in Governors Bay or half the older streets in town. It is not “never think about spouting again” magic, whatever the brochures say, and fine roof grit still gets through everything.

Trees within cooee of the roof: worth it. No trees: save your money. We’ll tell you which house you’ve got.

Typical pricing

What it costs

Most Christchurch homes land between $2,800 and $5,500 including GST for full spouting and downpipes, depending on metres, colour, and how many storeys we’re working on. Leaf guard adds $18–$25 per metre.

Exact number after we measure, and the quote is the invoice.
