Our yard’s on Foremans Road in Hornby, and everything below is close enough that a guarantee call never gets a “we’re not out that way any more.” The radius is deliberate: it’s the distance at which we can still make your roof safe the same day you ring.
All of it. Since 2012 we’ve put roofs in just about every suburb in the city, and odds are decent we’ve done one on your street. Ask for nearby addresses and go look at our work from the footpath; homeowners say yes to this more often than you’d think.
Our namesake, and the most demanding roofs we do: High to Extra High wind zones, steep sites, tricky access, and salt spray thrown in once you’re around to Sumner. Fixing schedules and steel grades get specced to the exposure up here, not copied from a flatland quote. If a hill-suburb quote doesn’t mention your wind zone, it was written for a different house.
Salt is the whole story out here. Standard steel this close to the surf grows rust freckles by year eight, so coastal homes get COLORSTEEL Maxx and marine-grade spouting as our default spec, and we’ll show you the warranty map that explains why.
The fastest-growing patch of the country, which means two kinds of work: first re-roofs now arriving on the early-2000s subdivisions, and sorting the odd shortcut left behind by the boom-time build rush. Wide-open sites out here take the nor’wester full strength, and the fixing spec respects that.
North of the Waimak is a proper part of our patch, not an “if we’re passing” one; Sione’s crew is over the bridge most weeks. Plenty of solid 70s–90s housing stock whose original tiles and second-hand iron are timing out together.
Steep sites, sea air, and some genuinely old and characterful rooflines we take our time with. Heritage-listed places sometimes need council conversations, and we’ve had them before. Akaroa and the outer bays we take case by case, usually for referrals from past customers; ring and ask, worst case we’ll name an operator out there we’d trust with our own mum’s roof.
